Disney has a new black princess, but do little girls care?
November 15, 2009
Disney now has a new black princess which seems much more important to adults than little girls of all races. They are just happy to have a new princess regardless of color. Maybe this is an instance where adults can learn from our little ones. Read the a great story on this by using the link below:

there’s an 8 yrs old girl in my family that I heard say when she saw the preview for the frog princess. “finally a brown princess”. She has nearly all of the Disney movies and i’ve heard her point out that Jasmine (Alladin) is “brown” and Pocahontas is “brown like me”. Though other princesses are her favorite. How that all works out in her mind I’m not sure but I think It’s a good thing that she can see more “brown’ princesses. Now if Barbie and Brats and others would step up as well.
