Sinclair claimed that in 1999 he met Barack Obama and Obama purchased and supplied him with cocaine. Sinclair also claims that he performed an oral sex act on the Senator and that the Senator smoked crack cocaine during the evening : "I smoked his pole, he smoked my crack". Larry Sinclair has thus far failed to produce a single viable piece of evidence, yet is continuing to take advantage of every media outlet and communication medium in an attempt to extort money from Senator Obama. He has staged phoney press conferences, started numerous blogs, contacted all mainstream media outlets with his flimsy and fundamentally unverifiable accusations. Is it any wonder nobody in the mainstream media wants to risk their career and credibility covering this farce? Legally and morally, the burden is on Sinclair to prove his allegations, not on Obama to disprove them. Larry Sinclair knows this, but he is banking (quite literally) on the fact that the court of public opinion operates quite differently than a court of law, and isn't making any substantial effort to prove his accusations. He knows that it's hard to prove you DIDN'T do something, and is rallying the ignorant under this pretense to send him contributions (and any other number of other 'fundraising' activities of questionable legality). He's got them so worked up that several of them are posting threats on his blog (larrysinclair0926.wordpress.com) to kill Obama if he gets elected. And as if that weren't enough, this so-called Reverend (Mr. Manning) seems to worship Larry Sinclair *more* than he would worship God. He supports Sinclair to the hilt (no pun intended), asking the public to pray for Sinclair, even though Sinclair is admittedly and openly homosexual, a drug user, a liar, a thief, and is clearly and unashamedly unrepentant. Manning, like Sinclair, is looking for 15 minutes of fame and a fatter pocketbook, and both are nuttier than a chipmunk's poop. Fortunately, I wouldn't have voted for McCain anyway, but I do believe that "affirmative action" in this case will have long-term impact, whereas "vote-in-the-white-man-again" will do serious damage to race progress in this country. Once Obama opens the door to non-white-male leadership in this country, it'll be easier for more conservative Americans to eventually accept female leadership or other non-white leadership (Asian American? Native American? Latino? Who knows?). It’ll factor in my decision, definitely. For so long our so-called leaders have told people what they want to hear: Well the time to stop that nonsense is now. Black men as a group need to be better fathers, husbands, sons, and boyfriends to the women in our lives. Black men need to return to positions of leadership in our communities and stop letting gang-bangers and the like terrorize our neighborhoods. The truth hurts and people don't like to hear it but "oh well". Senator Obama is right, Bill Cosby is right, and if they can't tell us than who can. Black men should be standing up all across this country and letting people know how proud we are of Senator Obama. Barack Obama played by the rules, he went to school and got a good education , helped people in the community, married a gorgeous "Black Woman", stayed and raised his children, and now he is living the American Dream. I as a Black man used to like saying to people that I was the best father that I could be. Well I have come to realize at age 52 that I wasn't the best that I could have be: And now with a 18 year old son, a 29 year old daughter, and two grandsons I not only do everything that I can to be the best that I can be, I apologized to my sons' mother for not being the best mate I could be to her and went to my daughters mothers' grave and asked for the same forgiveness. A few hours before the verdict came in, a juror asked the judge could he be excused because the jurors were in a heated deadlock and he wanted to go home. So, being a veteren juror, I can only surmise that those jurors who believed R. Kelly is/was guilty were pressured to change their vote. It all comes down to that. Nothing technical...nothing about a mole or no mole. R. Kelly was aquitted because jurors were lazy and lax.
