Obama didn’t know his aunt was in US illegally

Barack Obama’s campaign has returned a $265 donation made by Obama’s aunt, Zeituni Onyango from Kenya. It turns out that she may have been in the United States illegally. NY Times: States attempts to block voters appear illegal

Attempt to suppress black vote in Philadelphia

In an attempt to suppress the African American vote in Philadelphia a flyer is circulating falsely stating that undercover police will be at the polls waiting to arrest anyone with traffic offenses or warrants. What’s really disturbing about this lame attempt to suppress the vote is that is that it assumes most African Americans are criminals or have unpaid parking tickets. Poll: Whites views of blacks hurting Obama

A recent Associated Press and Yahoo.com poll seems to have come up with part of the answer as to why Obama can’t seem to pull away from McCain. According to the poll a shocking part of the answer is that Obama faces this: 40 percent of all white Americans hold at least a partly negative view toward blacks, and that includes many Democrats and independents. 8 million African Americans not registered to vote

Hi this is is George Cook of Let’s Talk Honestly and I thought this would be a great story to share to help remind people that they have up until 10/06/08 to register to vote so that they can vote in the November Presidential election.

Despite record numbers of voters who turned out during the presidential primaries last spring, eight million African-Americans are still not registered to vote. This according to Rick Wade, African-American vote director for the Obama for America presidential campaign.
