Okay Now. Let me explain something here. The fist bump is nothing more than another form of a handshake or a pat on the back. It is not a terrorist signal or nor did it come from the black power movement as one paper here in NJ suggested.
The fist bump can mean:

You/we did it.
Good job/ Nice play
It’s just another form in a long line of greeting African Americans have used in an attempt to be different than the generation before them. Thank God the Obama’s didn’t use the old hand shake we used to use back in the late 70’s and early 80’s that had like 3 or 4 different moves. Some of you know what I’m talking about. Can you imagine the panic that would have set off?
In the end the fist bump issue is much ado about nothing.
Fox News which many in the African American Community consider racist has taken it’s attacks on Michelle Obama to a whole new level. On a broadcast on 06/11/08 they refereed to Michelle Obama as “Obama Baby Mama”. Don’t take my word for it look at the picture below on which they use the term in their on air graphic.
So much for fair and balanced. There is no way even the racist leaning Fox producers and host did not know this was wrong. I mean just dead wrong. Maybe a bunch of elitist white producers thought they were being hip or cool but calling Michelle Obama a “baby’s mama” is uncalled for. Especially for what is supposed to be a professional news organization.
For those that think it’s just a joke or that baby mama is a term of endearment let me define Baby’s Mama.
A baby’s mama is just some girl that a guy gets pregnant. Just some girl he had sex with. This person is no one he wants to be with or marry. If he had been a thinking with the right head there is no way in hell he would have gotten her pregnant. If a guy would refers to a woman as a baby’s mama it shows he does not have much respect for her.
Michelle Obama is a lot more than that. She is far from any damned baby’s mama. She could well be the next first lady of the United States and should be treated with the dignity and respect she has earned. She should be given the respect that ANY women should be given regardless of her place in society.
Leave it to Fox News to keep giving traction to those that believe they are anything but fair and balanced. Can anyone name another cable news outlet where this would have been acceptable?
A group of African American clergy and pro life supporters have come out against Planned Parenthood saying that the group steers black girls toward abortion and concentrates it’s efforts in black neighborhoods. That doesn’t surprise me at all.

Black Television News Channel (BTNC), the nation’s only African-American news network, announces a multi-year carriage agreement with Comcast. Under the agreement, BTNC expects that it will be added to Comcast systems in the following key African American markets: Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Washington, D.C., Atlanta and Baltimore.
While this started as a drive to get cases of missing African American Women and other women of color more air time on cable and news it is now a mission to get missing women of every ethnic group, race, or religion more air time by asking Cable Stations to devote just 30 seconds of air time per hour to the story of a missing woman. That would be 168 woman a week and 8736 women a year that would get at least some coverage on a national level. Please help me do this by signing my petion which wil be sent to CNN, Fox News and MSNBC. The may ignore 1 or 100 but they can’t ignore thousands.
Duane “Dog” Chapman went on Fox News last night to try to explain his racist tirade. I don’t know whay you would go on Fox News to explain anything concerning race where the debate is always one sided but I guess he went where he would get a friendly reception from someone like Sean Hannity. Fox News claims to be fair and balanced but watch the video of their news “coverage” when it comes to Barack Obama which is at best very misinformed and at worst just out right lies against the man. I guess it’s wrong to expect a “news” network to check it’s facts before putting anything on the air or maybe they just don’t care.
