An advertising slump is hammering the nation’s oldest magazine devoted to African-American life. That Magazine Ebony Magazine may be for sale by it’s publisher Johnson Publishing in an effort to keep the magazine alive.

Video: President Obama discusses race on Sunday talk shows

President Obama visited many news outlets to discuss everything BUT racism and wound up dicussing it on almost every one of these shows. President Obama danced his way around this question several times on Sunday.

While many may want him to speak on the issue so that the country can have a real discussion on race there are those that are waiting to pounce claiming that the President is playing the race card.

It’s a shame that a president is expected to talk about life or death situations like war and healthcare but not about race?

Black newspaper publishers say Congressman Joe Wilson is racist and are boycotting South Carolina. The NNPA better known as Black Press US has joined the NAAACP in it’s boycott of South Carolina and has cancelled it’s Jan 2010 convention in South Carolina

BMW not advertising on black radio?

One of the auto-maker’s BMW advertising agencies in issuing a ‘No Urban Dictate’ for an upcoming BMW/MINI Cooper radio ad campaign.

After racist comments by host advertisers leave Glenn Beck Show

Due to a campaign by colorofchange.org several major advertisers like wal-Mart, Beast Buy and Gieco have left the Glenn Beck Show which airs in Fox News.

In July Beck said that President Obama is a racist who has a “deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture.”

Bill Cosby shocked by Obama’s comments on Gates arrest

On a Boston morning radio program , Bill Cosby suggested that President Obama spoke too soon on the controversial arrest of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates.

“I’ve heard about five different reports [on the details of the arrest],” Cosby said on Boston’s WZLX. “If I’m the president of the United States, I don’t care how much pressure people want to put on it about race, I’m keeping my mouth shut.” Watch the interview by using the link below:
