I’m sure Rodney Mason would not consider himself a hero. But this wheel chair bound man started a team in Newark NJ for the local kids in his neighborhood and has become more than just a coach. He has become a mentor and a father figure to these kids. So if a man in a wheel chair can do this there is no excuse for anyone else not to reach out to our youth. Read his inspirational story link by clicking the below:

Believe it or not there is racism in the predominantly white sport of NASCAR. I’m shocked and apalled. Now of course I’m being sarcastic here but African American Mauricia “Mo” Grant who has worked in NASCAR for 3 years has NASCAR claiming she was the victim of both sexism and racism which included being called “Nappy headed Mo” Click the link below to read an in depth interview with Mauricia Grant about what went on in NASCAR:

Click the link below to watch the video below of Barack Obama on HBO’s Real Sports playing basketball. You can see that the presidential candidate has a little game on the court as well as the campaign trail. Now he couldn’t hang with me and my boys but he would be allowed on the same court….LOL :

NFL Legend Jim Brown who has taken many a stand on social and racial issues while he was playing is not to happy to Tiger’s Woods response to Kelly Tilghman’s lynching comments. He believes that Tiger has a RESPSONSIBILTY to speak out more than he does on social and racial issues. That silly Jim Brown, why does he want Tiger to take a chance messing up his endorsement deals just to do something foolish like taking a stand. Oh that silly Jim. Some feel bad for Marion Jones and say her punishment by the IOC was too harsh. That ignores the fact that her cheating and selfishness have cost her team mates their medals and may have cost other more deserving athletes financial opportunities that could have bettered their lives.
If you ask me Marion Jones got off lightly. I would have locked her in a room with the team mates she spit on and let her try to explain herself. Read the official IOC Document regarding Marion Jones records by clicking the link below:

A football team from Harlem NY made up of mostly African American’s traveled to play a t game at a predominantly white school in Staten Island and found the phrase “Ya Niggas suck from MSIT” written on their sideline bench.Game officials removed the bench forcing the kids to stand all game but did not do the right thing and take the white teams bench also.
To make matters worse school officials tried to hide the bench and wanted to throw it away. In their minds that would have closed the matter but the black teams coach refused to let that happen and now the police are involved. Read the entire story by clicking the link below:
