Dr Ben Carson addressed the Iowa Freedom Summit Saturday. He spoke on Obamacare, the right to life, economy, foreign policy and more. What he did best was prove that he has no business running for president let alone being president. Carson spoke in generalities and showed little to no substance. He gave the crowd the usual conservative talking points to get cheap applause and nothing more. In the twenty or so minutes ( Yes, twenty minutes of his nasally voice, my ears are still bleeding) are so that he spoke we learned nothing about how he would actually implement any of his ideas. To be fair he never does say talk on the how to part of things. Watch his entire speech at: http://www.africanamericanreports.com/2015/01/ben-carson-speech-at-iowa-freedom-summit.html

Why conservatives love Ben Carlson

Why conservatives love Ben Carlson

Seems like Dr. Ben Carlson is the new conservative flavor of the month. You know the black person that conservatives decide all black people “should” like. ( See Herman Cain, Michael Steele, Allen West, Artur Davis, Mia Love ) and then can’t figure out why that person doesn’t gain traction in the black community.

During a campaign speech Newt Gingrich said, ” “So I’m prepared, if the NAACP invites me, I’ll go to their convention and talk about why the African-American community should demand paychecks and not be satisfied with food stamps.”

If he is so willing to speak to the NAACP then why has he turned down all of their previous invitations all the way back to his days as Speaker of the House? Listen to NAACP President Ben Jealous talk about this here: Gingrich says he would visit NAACP. Then why has he turned down all of their previous invites?

The GOP is becoming the intolerant & uncaring “Let em die ” party. Do they care?

The GOP is becoming the intolerant & uncaring “Let em die ” party. Do they care?

During recent GOP debates some very troubling things have happened. Not from the candidates themselves but from those Republicans and Tea Partiers in the audience. Crowd response to questions from gay soldiers, about an uninsured man dying, and about the death penalty received surprising and very disappointing responses. No candidates challenged this behavior. Do they care? Does the GOP care.
