It’s been a tough few weeks for Republican attempts at voter suppression. When forced to defend their blatant attempts to keep minority voters from the polls in court Republicans are failing miserably. Recently we have seen voter ID laws struck down in Wisconsin and North Carolina, and now you can add Kansas, Alabama, and Georgia to that list. Warren Hill granted stay of execution

Warren Hill, an intellectually disabled prisoner, has been spared the death chamber just 30 minutes before he was due to die by lethal injection in Georgia despite a US supreme court ban on executions of people with learning difficulties.

Lately teachers unions have been blamed for everything wrong with education. Some  things they are blamed for are lower test scores & our kids not being ready for college. While they are not completely innocent of those charges it turns out states without teachers unions are near the bottom of the SAT/ACT scores list.
