 Marissa Alexander faces 20 years in prison for Standing Her Ground. Her husband beat her while she was pregnant. After yet another beating, Alexander fired a warning shot into the ceiling. That shot saved her life. Prosecutor Angela Corey did not take into <a href="account that Marissa Alexander: Had a court injunction against her crazed husband,Had Given Birth 9 Days Earlier,Was trained to use a weapon and earned a concealed weapons permit.

I decided to post this after listening to the nonsense that Sean Hannity has been spouting about The New Black Panther Party’s call for violence. Hannity is only bring up their ridiculous comments to try to muddy the waters and cause racial division in the Trayvon Martin case.

Would boycotting Orlando help to change “Stand Your Ground” Law?

 

In the weeks since the tragic and unnecessary death of Trayvon Martin there have been suggestions to simply boycott Florida. I don’t know if boycotting an entire state is possible but boycotting Orlando ( Disney World, Universal Studios, etc. ) has been another suggestion that has been floated out there. This would definitely hurt Florida’s economy. The question is would it hurt it enough to make state law makers change the stand your ground law and would people actually support the boycott?
